Shinji from the group Koyote has openly addressed various misunderstandings and controversies surrounding her fiancé, Moon Won.
On the 24th, Shinji appeared on Jang Young-ran's YouTube channel and candidly talked about the attention and negative comments that surged after their controversial meeting video. Shinji mentioned, "After the video reached over 6 million views, fortune-tellers and astrology channels across the country started analyzing our compatibility," adding, "Comments included, 'Physiognomy is science,' 'Jipaljicon,' and 'Shinji is only after his money.' But in reality, that guy lives better than I do," she emphasized.
She also clarified Moon Won's widely discussed comment, "I didn't know Shinji was this famous." Shinji explained, "He's not good with words to begin with; what he meant was closer to 'I didn't expect this much impact,' but he didn't express it well." She defended him, saying that due to her 25 years of translating Kim Jong-min's unique phrases, the production team also did not anticipate that Moon Won's speech would become a hot topic.
Shinji also addressed allegations that she had concealed information about Moon Won's divorce and children. She clarified, "Before it progressed to dating, he told me, 'I have something to say.' I even asked him, 'Have you been married before?', so I had a feeling." She revealed, "After seriously thinking for a week, I was the one who suggested, 'Let's keep seeing each other.'" She added, "What I overlooked was that I never imagined this would become such a big issue later on."
Furthermore, Shinji mentioned that the negative comments following their meeting video made Moon Won stronger. She noted, "Even though he has a strong mentality, he couldn't help but keep checking his phone for negative comments. It was futile to try and stop him. I understood because I was like that in the past," she said. "I felt sorry for him for going through this because of me, and we both apologized to each other. We became closer after going through that," she explained. "I also felt grateful to realize how many people in Korea support me," she added.
She also mentioned their wedding preparation status. Currently living together in their newlywed home, Shinji smiled and said, "I'm excited on my way back home." At the end, she announced, "We have recently set a wedding date and I plan to reveal it on my YouTube channel."
