Rapper and TV personality DinDin recently opened up about his image as a socially conscious celebrity.

In the web variety show Salon Drip that aired on the 25th, DinDin appeared as a guest. He expressed his frustrations regarding his recent image, stating, "I feel so unfair. At some point, I found out people see me as a socially conscious celebrity." He further remarked, "In the past, people disliked me just for being alive, but now they compliment the same things that I say," expressing his confusion over the shifting public opinion.

DinDin also mentioned his controversial incident during last year's World Cup, saying, "I learned then that getting too excited can lead to big problems. Now, I intentionally try to keep myself calm." He added, "I'm happy, but I'm living my life trying to tone down that happiness. It's very painful to get carried away by popularity and then fall. It felt like a free fall."

The pivotal moment that led DinDin to be called a socially conscious celebrity came from an episode of the web variety show Workman last August. At that time, when Lee Joon asked the manager of a franchise coffee store, "Don't you earn 10 million won a month?", DinDin responded directly, "That's because you lack an understanding of currency value. I'm driving a supercar and using Jennie's bed, so my sensibilities are skewed." This candid reply received a lot of praise.

DinDin shared, "Since then, I've become an icon of currency value," expressing his frustrations, stating, "Whenever I'm wearing expensive clothes, comments like 'That T-shirt costs 400,000 won' pop up immediately." He highlighted, "Spending money that you've earned through hard work is a natural thing. However, it also means you should be aware of the realities of the world."

Additionally, DinDin expressed gratitude towards Lee Hyun-do, the CEO of his agency, and Lee Joon for being the most impactful people in his entertainment journey, saying, "Thanks to them, I am who I am today."
