Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi candidly shared updates about his child and the possibility of her debut in the entertainment industry.
On the 26th, Lee Seung-gi appeared on MBC FM4U's Kim Shin-young's Noon Song of Hope to celebrate the release of his new song 'I Am by Your Side'.
When Kim Shin-young asked, "You seem to have rejuvenated lately," Lee Seung-gi replied, "It's not so much about managing my appearance, but I'm more at ease now. Having a child brings a clear routine to our life. I'm living more regularly," while smiling.
Lee Seung-gi revealed that his daughter has now reached 22 months old, stating, "She has started saying words like 'mommy', 'daddy', 'flower', and 'tree.'" When Kim Shin-young asked, "Can she also say sentences like 'Do this for me'?" Lee Seung-gi answered, "Not yet," and then reenacted his daughter's baby talk, causing the radio studio to burst into laughter.
When asked if he would consider debuting his daughter as a singer if she shows musical talent, Lee Seung-gi shared, "Honestly, I have thought about this since before she was born," but added, "Personally, I hope she doesn't pursue it."
Regarding this, Lee Seung-gi expressed, "The entertainment industry is indeed a great profession, but it comes with so many sacrifices and pains to succeed. Unlike studying within the safety of school boundaries, the entertainment industry is boundary-less. It feels almost like entering the wild," expressing the worries he feels as a parent.
Lee Seung-gi married actress Lee Da-in in April 2023 and welcomed his first daughter in February of the previous year.
