'Cyber Reck' YouTuber Bbeokga has announced his return after a nearly year-long hiatus and shared his stance on the ongoing civil lawsuit with BJ KakaoFruit.

On the 27th, Bbeokga uploaded a video on his YouTube channel. In the video, he mentioned, "It feels like it's been almost a year. I had some personal matters, and recently I've been in bad shape after being scammed badly." He expressed his intent to return to streaming, stating, "I'm thinking about getting back to broadcasting and being active again." However, he added, "I haven't decided how I'm going to come back yet, but I will appear again soon."

In the video, Bbeokga detailed the civil lawsuit against BJ KakaoFruit, which is currently awaiting trial. Last September, KakaoFruit filed a lawsuit claiming Bbeokga spread false information through a video, seeking 30 million KRW in damages. The first instance court recognized part of Bbeokga's defamation responsibility and ordered him to pay 10 million KRW to KakaoFruit. Both parties have appealed the decision.

Bbeokga stated, "If you only read the news articles, it makes me seem like someone who talks about sex work and engages in sexual harassment." He clarified, "When a photo of KakaoFruit taken on the streets of LA became a hot topic, I simply described her and another woman, as well as Bang Si-hyuk, the chair of HYBE, as having 'body shapes beyond Asian standards.'" He further explained that he cited a post from an online community during his broadcast, which also became a disputed issue.

Bbeokga mentioned that portions where he quoted community posts, stating, "I wondered who sends money to female BJs, then I realized it was my money," and "What crime do age differences between men and women hold? If they have mutual feelings, they can just go for it," were recognized as defamatory. He expressed his frustration: "There were really bizarre claims; most were dismissed, and just two were found to be his responsibility," adding, "I had merely captured and laughed at some jokes circulating online, and that was deemed defamation."

He continued, "When a verdict came down saying I had to pay 10 million KRW for this, I thought, 'Wow, this is how unjust results can come from court.' So I appealed, and now the date for the second trial is set to be scheduled." Besides the lawsuit, he noted, "Given how things are going in the country lately and having taken over a year of break, I've been reflecting deeply on the direction of my channel," indicating that he is also rethinking his content's direction for the future.

Meanwhile, Bbeokga is a prominent 'Cyber Reck' YouTuber who has amassed over 1.1 million subscribers, addressing controversies related to celebrities and internet personalities while wearing black sunglasses.
