NCT members Jungwoo and Doyoung are enlisting side by side.

According to their agency SM Entertainment, the two will enter a recruit training center today (December 8) to begin their mandatory military service. Doyoung will serve as an active-duty Army soldier, while Jungwoo has been accepted into the Army band.

The agency stated, “There will be no separate event on the day of their entry. As the site will be crowded with service members and their families, we ask fans to refrain from visiting for everyone’s safety.”

After beginning training, Jungwoo and Doyoung will complete basic instruction before fulfilling their 18-month service — one in the Army band and one as an active-duty soldier.

Within NCT, Taeyong has been serving in the Navy since April last year, and Jaehyun enlisted in November and is serving in a military band.

Born in 1996 and 1998 respectively, Doyoung and Jungwoo have been active members of NCT 127, NCT U, and the unit NCT DOJAEJUNG.
