BTS members RM and Jungkook met up.
On the morning of the 10th, RM shared a photo on his Instagram Story showing a huge pot of ramen boiling.
He tagged Jungkook's Instagram account in the post, and Jungkook reposted it to his own account.
Once the photo dropped, all eyes were on the duo eating ramen together.
Recently, Jungkook was swept up in dating rumors with aespa member Winter, and both sides' agencies stayed silent, further fueling speculation. Around the same time, RM drew attention during a recent live broadcast by mentioning topics like a BTS disbandment or a hiatus.
Fans also zeroed in on Jungkook's Instagram handle. He had previously set it to 'imjungkook', which resembles Winter's 'imwinter'. He later changed it to 'mnijungkook', but that still didn't quell suspicions. Some fans argued that swapping the positions of 'n' and 'i' hints at a mash‑up of Winter's real name, Minjeong, and Jungkook—'Minjeongguk'. Jungkook, however, has explained that his handle is simply an abbreviation of 'my name is jungkook'.
In response, comments poured in, including the slang 'byeoldajul'—short for "people abbreviate everything" and "there are plenty of other abbreviations"—while others urged, "Let's just leave him alone now."
Meanwhile, BTS is set to release a new album and make a comeback next spring.
