KBS's flagship variety show 2 Days & 1 Night dominated the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards, with members hoisting trophies side by side — yet one name was shockingly never uttered in any acceptance speech.
Broadcast live on December 20 from KBS Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, the 2025 KBS Entertainment Awards was hosted by singer Chan-won Lee, actor Min-jung Lee, and comedian Se-yoon Moon. On the night, Seon-ho Yoo took home the Excellence Award in the Show/Variety category, while Joon Lee clinched the Top Excellence Award in the same category.
First to take the stage, Seon-ho Yoo said, "At this point, the hyungs and the production team feel like family," expressing his affection for the team. He continued, "We were filming even this morning, and maybe because I'm the only one in my twenties, there are many moments when I feel like, 'This isn't easy.'" He added that in those moments, he often thinks of Jong-min Kim. "He's 23 years older than me. When it's tough, I tell myself, 'How much colder and hungrier must Jong-min hyung be out there?' and that helps me push through," he said, thanking him.
Seon-ho also shared lighthearted behind-the-scenes moments. "I actually saw Se-yoon hyung sulking yesterday because he didn't get to eat dak-galbi (spicy stir-fried chicken)," he joked, adding that Joon Lee taught him the capitals of countries around the world. He even brought up DinDin's story about pulling a muscle while doing the splits. But despite multiple shout-outs, the name of former member Se-ho Jo never came up.
Top Excellence Award winner Joon Lee also professed deep affection for 2 Days & 1 Night. "Except for the very first day I joined, I've never regretted it," he said. "Jong-min hyung is nine years older than me, and Seon-ho is about ten years younger, yet we've become like classmates who can talk freely to each other." He added, "It's a first-in-my-life experience, and I've learned and grown so much as a person." Once again, there was no mention of Se-ho Jo.
Meanwhile, Jeong-hyun Lee and Seo-jin Park won the Reality category's Top Excellence Awards for Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant and Mr. House Husband, respectively. Eun-i Song joined Joon Lee as co-winner of the Show/Variety Top Excellence Award for Problem Child in House.
