Shocking sighting: Park Yoochun, formerly of TVXQ and JYJ, was spotted in Korea, marking his first visit in five years.
On January 7, Park posted in Japanese on his Instagram, writing, "Korea for the first time in five years," and shared several photos.
In the photos, Park is seen dining at a restaurant with acquaintances. He keeps it casual and relaxed, enjoying some downtime — but he also appears noticeably thinner compared to his days actively promoting in Korea.
Park debuted with TVXQ in 2003 and soared to massive popularity. In 2009, he filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment seeking confirmation of the non-effectiveness of his exclusive contract and left the group. The following year, in 2010, he promoted as part of JYJ with Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu.
In 2016, he became embroiled in sexual misconduct controversies, and in 2019, he faced allegations of methamphetamine use. He received a 10-month prison sentence suspended for two years. Since then, he has left Korea and continued his activities in Japan.
