Shocking casting news: Actor Kim Jae-young is joining the film The Roundup 5 as the new villain.
On the 12th, his agency Management S confirmed to multiple outlets, "Kim Jae-young will appear in The Roundup 5."
The Outlaws is a flagship crime-action franchise that set box-office records with three consecutive installments surpassing 10 million admissions. The series has become synonymous with unforgettable villains, launching fierce antagonists played by Yoon Kye-sang, Son Seok-gu, Lee Jun-hyuk, and Kim Mu-yeol.
Kim Jae-young debuted as a model in 2011 and has steadily built his filmography through dramas 100 Days My Prince, Love in Contract, and The Judge from Hell. Although he appeared in various films mostly in supporting roles, The Roundup 5 is poised to cement his presence on the big screen.
Currently, Kim is filming the TVING original series Naega Tteollil Su Itge, and on the ENA drama I Dol I, he plays Do Ra-ik, the center of an idol band.
Meanwhile, The Roundup 5 is preparing to start filming within the year, and Kim is set to unveil a new villain who straddles good and evil.
