MONSTA X member I.M has officially set his military enlistment date.
On the 12th, agency Starship Entertainment announced through the official fan community Berries, "I.M will enter the training center on February 9, receive basic military training, and then serve as an active-duty soldier in the Army."
The agency added, "There will be no separate official event on the day he enters the training center. As the entry ceremony is a space shared with many service members and their families, we ask fans to refrain from visiting for safe on-site operations," and continued, "Please send your unwavering love and support so I.M can faithfully fulfill his duty to national defense and return in good health."
Before enlisting, I.M is set to join the Seoul stop of the 2026 MONSTA X World Tour 'The X: NEXUS,' which will run for three days at KSPO DOME from January 30 to February 1. He was originally not scheduled to attend the Seoul shows, but decided to participate to meet MONBEBE (the official fandom name) before enlistment.
The agency stated, "I.M has continued rehabilitation therapy to meet fans before enlistment and to prepare for his military service in a stable manner," adding, "Recently, medical staff advised that participation is possible within reasonable limits. Accordingly, I.M will take part in the Seoul concert. However, considering the artist's health, he will participate within a level that does not overexert him, and we ask for your generous understanding."
Meanwhile, with Hyungwon's discharge in May last year, all members except I.M have completed their military service.
