Comedian Ji Sang-ryeol subtly addressed his now-public romance, turning the studio into a sweet, buzzworthy scene.
On January 12, the web variety show Zzanbro featured comedians Choi Yang-rak, Lee Bong-won, Yeom Kyung-hwan, and Ji Sang-ryeol, who dove into a lively "ajusshi talk." The conversation naturally shifted to Ji's love life.
When Choi Yang-rak teased, "There's good news for Sang-ryeol," Yeom Kyung-hwan jumped in: "He's seeing someone, and it's going well." The cast applauded and cheered, "Will there be even bigger news next year?" Ji didn't deny it, smiling brightly and drawing attention. Choi added a telling behind-the-scenes note: "I asked off-camera if this was just for broadcast, and his answer suggested it wasn't."
Yeom revealed he played Cupid for the couple. "She's a home shopping show host who's 16 years younger. She's like a kid sister to me. Ji came to the home shopping set for a variety shoot, I introduced them, and the chemistry clicked on the spot." Ji shared, "At first, I was shy and only thought of her as Yeom's colleague. But when we met again later, I realized the temperature of my heart had changed."
As the mood warmed, the cast chanted her name and showered him with congratulations. Ji blushed but couldn't hide his grin. Shin Dong-yup said, "I think this is the first time I've seen Ji meet someone with such serious feelings," offering heartfelt support. Ji added meaningfully, "This time, the room in my heart feels different."
Family talk came up, too. Ji said, "I haven't formally greeted them yet, but I did run into her mother once," adding with a laugh, "I'm not sure how her parents feel yet." Lee Bong-won cracked up the studio by joking, "You're probably not far off in age from her parents."
