BARO Entertainment, home to actors Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Chae-min, announced it is pursuing legal action against malicious commenters.
On the 13th, BARO Entertainment stated, "Recently, illegal acts targeting our actors on online communities and social media — including malicious slander, the spread of false information leading to defamation, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks — have persisted. Through our internal monitoring system, we are collecting related evidence, and through our legal representative Yulchon LLC, we are proceeding with all possible legal measures, including filing criminal complaints."
The agency added, "We will respond strictly and decisively, in principle, to any act that infringes upon our artists' honor and rights — with no settlements or leniency."
It also emphasized that posting speculative or distorted content contrary to the facts will be "treated as a serious illegal act," pledging continued monitoring and evidence collection to enforce strong legal action.
BARO Entertainment expressed gratitude for fans' interest and support and vowed to do its utmost to protect its artists going forward.
BARO Entertainment's roster includes Gong Seung-yeon and Park Jung-woo, in addition to Byeon Woo-seok and Lee Chae-min.
