Singer Ailee's husband, Choi Si-hoon, revealed a jaw-dropping story about spending 14 million won on clothes, instantly going viral.
On the 15th, a new Shorts video was uploaded to the couple's YouTube channel. In the clip, Choi explained, "My wife rarely buys clothes, and with the new year, I decided to splurge and take her to a department store." The trouble started with a brand mix-up. "I'd never heard of the brand, so I figured it was an edit shop with pieces in the 200,000–300,000 won range," he said.
Without checking prices, Choi confidently picked out multiple outfits for Ailee, telling her, "Let's get this one, and that one too." After gushing that "everything looked great on her," he reached the register—and faced a total he never saw coming. When the staff asked, "Any discounts to apply?" Choi replied, "No. Just ring it up," only to freeze at the next words: "That'll be 14 million won in total."
"Seeing the receipt snapped me back to reality," Choi said, describing the shock with text and emojis in the video. When one netizen commented, "So did you end up buying the clothes?" another viewer who watched to the end answered on his behalf, "He did," making everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, the couple married in August 2024 and do not have children.
