A new drama showcasing singer-actress Suzy's mesmerizing transformation is set to drop this year, and it's already drawing major buzz.
On the 22nd, Disney+'s lineup video unveiled first-look scenes from the Disney+ original series Portraits of Delusion starring Suzy.
Set in 1935 Gyeongseong (old Seoul), Portraits of Delusion follows painter Yoon I-ho (played by Kim Seon-ho), who is commissioned to paint the portrait of Song Jeong-hwa (played by Suzy) — a captivating woman who's also a vampire and has stayed hidden from the world for over half a century. As he approaches her, he begins to uncover her haunting secret.
After the still cuts and teaser clips dropped, online communities exploded with debate over Suzy's styling. While the original webtoon features a 2:8 side part, the drama switches it up with a bob and a 5:5 center part for a fresh, contrasting vibe.
Reactions were split: some praised, saying, "Even that old-fashioned bob looks gorgeous on Suzy" and "It's better than the original," while others pushed back with "It feels too old," "It's tacky," and "Was this really the best they could do?"
Based on the webtoon of the same name, Portraits of Delusion is slated to premiere this year, promising a new side of Suzy and her hypnotic beauty.
