A fierce battle over actress Han Ji-min is about to begin.
Premiering on February 28, JTBC’s new Saturday–Sunday drama Efficient Matchmaking for Unmarried Men and Women (hereafter Efficient Matchmaking) teases an intriguing love triangle centered on Lee Ui-young (Han Ji-min), Song Tae-seop (Park Sung-hoon), and Shin Ji-soo (Lee Ki-taek). Based on the Naver Webtoon by TARI, the series follows a woman determined to find love who meets two men through blind dates while searching for the true meaning of love.
In the third teaser released on January 30, a daring close moment between Lee Ui-young and Song Tae-seop inside a church instantly grabs attention, followed by Song’s bold line, “We kissed yesterday, remember?” Shocked, Shin Ji-soo asks Ui-young, “Is that true? Did you kiss?”—amping up the tension.
The two men’s full-on charm offensive also stands out. Visiting her at work just to take her home, Song Tae-seop reveals his tender side, saying, “When I like something, I don’t calculate efficiency.” In contrast, Shin Ji-soo, who often catches Ui-young off guard, makes a strong impression as he closes the distance without hesitation: “I’ll make it way more fun than that guy.”
Ui-young’s reactions in this sweet-and-spicy triangle are just as compelling. When both men show up at the same time with gifts, she blurts out, “This is bad—my heart’s fluttering,” perfectly capturing the push-and-pull of tension and excitement.
Meanwhile, between the so-called “Neungi Baeksuk guy” and “Nuclear Buldak guy”—nicknames referencing comforting neungi mushroom chicken soup (neungi baeksuk) and extra-spicy fire chicken (buldak)—Efficient Matchmaking promises plenty of romantic thrills when it premieres on February 28 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
