In a landmark moment for K-pop, the original soundtrack “Golden” from the Netflix animated film K-Pop: Demon Hunters claimed a Grammy Award, marking a historic first for Korean composers and producers.
“Golden” won Best Song Written For Visual Media at the 68th Grammy Awards during the Premiere Ceremony, held in Los Angeles on the 1st (local time).
With the win, songwriters EJAE (Jae Lee), Teddy, 24, and AIDIO (Lee Yoo-han, Kwak Joong-gyu, Nam Hee-dong) became the first K-pop composers to receive a Grammy from the Recording Academy.
The achievement follows the global success of K-Pop: Demon Hunters, which propelled “Golden” to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 and the UK’s Official Singles Chart Top 100, signaling strong international reception.
Meanwhile, the main Grammy ceremony is scheduled to take place today at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
