Singer Kim Da-hyun has launched civil and criminal proceedings over unpaid appearance fees and settlement payments allegedly withheld by her former agency.
Her current agency, Hyun Company, stated on the 4th: "We repeatedly requested settlements from the former agency since last November, but payments for appearance fees and other income have not been made since September–October 2025." The company stressed that further negotiations now seem impossible.
Accordingly, Hyun Company has applied to the Seoul Central District Court for a payment order covering the unpaid settlements and has begun seizure procedures, while also filing a criminal complaint with the Seoul Gangnam Police Station accusing former agency heads of fraud and embezzlement.
Inui Law Firm, representing Kim, said, "This action is not intended to slander any individual or inflame conflict, but is an unavoidable choice to protect rightful compensation and legal rights."
Meanwhile, Kim Da-hyun terminated her contract with the former agency over breach and a breakdown of trust, then moved to Hyun Company in late November, where she continues her activities as a singer.
