Actor Yoo Yeon-seok is turning heads with a side that feels far more down-to-earth than his usual image.

On the 5th, SBS's new Friday–Saturday drama Phantom Lawyer dropped the first still cuts of Yoo Yeon-seok, instantly ramping up anticipation.

The stills showcase the many facets of Shin I-rang, played by Yoo. Contrary to his sharp, suited "ace lawyer" look, candid and human moments steal the spotlight. In particular, scenes set in "Okcheon Building 501," the starting point of every case, and a moment where he, rattled by an unexpected ghostly presence, heads to a church and prays with a haggard face, reveal a fresh layer to the character's charm.

Phantom Lawyer is a quirky yet heartwarming adventure where "possessed lawyer" Shin I-rang, who boldly settles the grudges of the dead, teams up with "cold-blooded elite lawyer" Han Na-hyun (played by Esom) who will risk everything to win.

Having grown up in Seocho-dong, Shin becomes a late-blooming attorney, but he keeps getting rejected at law firm interviews—a life of constant "cut at the shortlist." Then he opens an office in a space that used to be a shaman's house, starts seeing ghosts, and gets swept up in unforeseen cases.

In this project, Yoo is not only taking on his first-ever comedic role, but he'll also unveil new faces through a chameleon-like performance, shifting into multiple personas depending on each client's story.

Meanwhile, Phantom Lawyer premieres on March 13 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
