Actor Lee Chae-min is reviewing an offer for a drama adaptation based on a globally popular novel.
On the 6th, Baro Entertainment confirmed, “Lee Chae-min has received an offer to appear in the Korean remake of The Miracles of the Namiya General Store and is currently considering it.”
The story follows three petty thieves who hide inside a long-abandoned shop and begin responding to advice letters sent from the past, unfolding a time-spanning narrative centered on empathy and redemption. Written by Keigo Higashino, the novel has been adapted into successful films in Japan and China and was also staged as a Korean play in 2018.
Lee gained wider recognition last year as the male lead in tvN’s Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Since then, he has reportedly received multiple project offers, reinforcing his position as a rising lead actor.
