Singer Sung Si-kyung has been confirmed as the new face of KBS's late-night music talk show The Seasons, drawing major buzz.

On the 3rd, KBS stated, "It is true that Sung Si-kyung has been selected as the MC of The Seasons," officially signaling the start of the next season.

The Seasons is a project-style music talk show where a different artist hosts each season, infusing the program with their own musical world and taste. Starting with Jay Park, the lineup of hosts has included Choi Jung-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, Zico, Lee Young-ji, and Park Bo-gum. It is currently led by 10CM member Kwon Jeong-yeol with The Seasons: 10cm's Pat-Pat.

The currently airing The Seasons: 10cm's Pat-Pat is set to end on the 6th, after which Sung Si-kyung will take over as host for the ninth season and steer the program in a fresh direction. However, details such as the subtitle, the first recording schedule, and the premiere date have not yet been finalized. Regarding this, KBS explained, "We will provide details on the schedule once everything is set."

As a leading sentimental balladeer, Sung Si-kyung has been beloved for years. Having proven his steady hosting skills on radio and various music variety shows, he is expected to imprint a softer, more musically rich tone across the new season.

All eyes are on what new synergy KBS's flagship late-night music program The Seasons will create with Sung Si-kyung at the helm.
