Kim Minju, a former IZ*ONE member now an actress, shared a behind-the-scenes story about how she managed her diet during filming.
On the 10th, the web variety show Salon Drip featured the lead actors of JTBC’s drama The Shining, Park Jinyoung and Kim Minju, as guests, where they chatted with Jang Do-yeon about a range of topics.
When Jang Do-yeon asked, "What do you do during downtime when you’re not filming?", Park Jinyoung revealed he’s recently gotten into cooking. He said, "I was ordering delivery way too often, and at some point, I just got sick of it," adding, "I’m not perfect, but I try to cook for myself once or twice a week." As for what he’s been eating most often lately, he picked an eel rice bowl, saying, "I think I have it about once every three to four days."
Kim Minju then revealed her unique eating habits. "Once I find a food I like, I pretty much stick to just that," she said, drawing attention by adding, "I’ve been eating the same menu for almost five years." Her go-to picks include beef, sandwiches, ricotta cheese salad, and chocolate.
Listening to her, Park Jinyoung recalled their drama shoot. "When we were filming, I remember Minju barely eating to maintain her weight—she’d have just one energy bar," he said. Kim Minju explained why she managed her diet that way on set: "If I eat a lot while filming, I get sleepy and feel heavy," she said. "So I keep it light during shoots and instead make sure to have a hearty breakfast."
