Actor Byeon Woo-seok is already setting hearts racing with a cool yet tender charm.
On the 12th, MBC’s new Friday–Saturday drama Perfect Crown unveiled a teaser focused on Grand Prince Ian.
The teaser spotlights Grand Prince Ian’s piercing gaze as he effectively leads the royal court in place of the young king. Born with innate dignity and an iron will, Ian enjoys public support but faces internal pushback as the second prince who never took the throne.
Even so, Ian shows a gentle side before Seong Hee-joo (played by IU), and the two choose a contract marriage to rewrite their fates. Tension spikes as forces targeting Ian close in. With the line from Dowager Queen Yoon I-rang (played by Gong Seung-yeon) — "Hunting, by nature, requires patience" — a shadowy assault on Ian begins. A high-speed chase and a bloodied Ian appearing with a head wound raise burning questions about what comes next.
Meanwhile, Perfect Crown premieres Friday, April 10 at 9:40 p.m. KST on MBC.
