Former announcer-turned-TV star Jeon Hyun-moo is set to reveal his “complicated” senior–junior dynamic with senior colleague Park Ji-yoon, sparking curiosity before the show even airs.
On March 13, MBN and Channel S’s variety show Jeon Hyun-moo's Plan 3 features Jeon Hyun-moo and travel YouTuber Kwak Tube in Jeju for a “local residents special,” joined by Park Ji-yoon.
Jeon hints to Kwak Tube, “The guest in part two is someone I’ve known for a long time. We’re not on bad terms, but how we address each other is… tricky.” Moments later, Park Ji-yoon, a fellow former KBS announcer, makes her entrance.
Now in her sixth year living on Jeju Island, Park explains, “I’m younger than Jeon Hyun-moo by age, but I’m two classes ahead of him in seniority,” before guiding the duo to a locals-only gem. Her pick: a Jeju regional specialty, braised filefish (gyeokjuri/“jwichi”), known for its rich, savory kick.
At the restaurant, Jeon looks back on their announcer days and jokes, “Senior Park Ji-yoon kept us in line—pretty strictly. I still get a slight chill,” then hams it up by pointedly using honorifics: “Senior Ji-yoon, why are you like this?”
Park flips the script with a quick, “Cut it out. Oppa!” (using the familiar term for an older male), catching Jeon off guard. She teases, “Is ‘oppa’ really that scary a word?” turning the set into a laughter fest.
Park then drops a throwback story that makes Jeon squirm even more: “I once set Jeon Hyun-moo up on a blind date,” she says, recalling how she arranged the meeting in Hannam-dong with a senior announcer.
Blindsided, Jeon hurriedly calls to fact-check the tale, sweating bullets. Viewers are buzzing over what kind of laughs their playful bickering and past episodes will spark.
The episode airs on the 13th at 9:10 p.m.
