Japanese TV personality Sayuri sparked buzz by sharing her unfiltered thoughts on marriage.
On the 11th, Sayuri’s YouTube channel featured fellow TV personality Guzal, who previously appeared with her on Global Talk Show, catching up on their lives.
“Back on Global Talk Show, Guzal was a college student and the youngest,” Sayuri recalled. “I was 28 then, and I felt ‘old’ at the time.” Guzal added, “Back then, you really wanted to get married. You even asked me for advice on how to meet men,” reminiscing about the past.
The chat naturally shifted to marriage. When Guzal asked, “We’re both still single—are you thinking about getting married?”, Sayuri answered candidly, “I’d be ready to get married anytime.” She then joked, “Want to bet on who ties the knot first? I could suddenly get married—maybe I even have a hidden man,” drawing laughter. When the production staff reacted in shock, Guzal chimed in, “Why so surprised? There’s a lot we don’t talk about,” keeping the mood upbeat.
In 2020, Sayuri made headlines after welcoming her son, Zen, via IVF using donor sperm in Japan. At the time, she explained her decision to give birth without marrying, saying, “I decided after being told that if I waited, I might miss my chance to have a child.”
