ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun-woo will meet fans in Japan with a solo photo exhibition — his first public schedule since tax evasion allegations surfaced, even as he is currently serving in the military.

According to local promotional sites on the 15th (local time), Cha Eun-woo will host the photo exhibition 'Afterimage' from March 28 to May 12 in Ginza, Tokyo. Built around the theme of an 'ordinary day,' the show presents his daily life across seven distinct times and spaces. It also expands on the world of last year's pictorial 'ME:UNBOX.'

The event is drawing extra attention as it marks his first external activity since allegations of tax evasion were raised. Cha is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service and had not engaged in separate entertainment activities following the controversy.

His agency Fantagio told multiple outlets that the exhibition is "a project whose contract was finalized in August 2024 and is proceeding according to the schedule agreed upon at the time."

Earlier this year, reports revealed that Cha Eun-woo was notified of an additional income tax assessment of around 20 billion KRW during a tax audit, sparking controversy. The National Tax Service reportedly questioned whether income was dispersed through a separate corporation established with his family. In response, Cha's side filed for a pre-assessment review and stated they would clarify the matter through the appropriate procedures.
