Comedian Jung Kyung-mi is finally speaking up about rumors of friction with her husband, Yoon Hyung-bin.
On the March 16 broadcast of the KBS2 variety show Malja Show, Jung Kyung-mi and Kim Kyung-ah appear as guests. To mark the new school term, the episode is produced as a special 'Back-to-School' installment and, for the first time, rated for general audiences. Children and family viewers who previously found it difficult to attend due to age restrictions joined the recording.
At the taping, "Malja Grandma" Kim Young-hee warmly greets the family audiences, saying, "I hope you make lots of great memories with your kids and leave with big laughs." Fitting for the special, Kim Young-hee's husband Yoon Seung-yeol and their daughter Yoon Hae-seo also take seats in the audience, drawing attention.
Drawing on their experiences as working moms, Jung Kyung-mi and Kim Kyung-ah offer advice on a wide range of concerns from children, teens, and parents. Kim Kyung-ah quips, "The new semester is right around the corner. Parents, hang in there," sparking laughter, while Jung Kyung-mi, a mother of two, lights up the set with her signature wit.
In particular, Jung addresses the recently swirling "cold war" rumors with Yoon Hyung-bin. Earlier, on his YouTube channel, Yoon admitted he's been reading the room, saying, "I don't know why my wife is mad," which quickly went viral. Viewers are eager to hear how Jung will set the record straight on this broadcast.
The show also features counseling for children's concerns. Child actor Jung Han-sol, currently appearing in the KBS1 drama Mari-wa Byeolnan Appadeul, opens up about a worry, and Kim Young-hee offers advice tailored to a child's perspective. In addition, a group of 'Malja Kids'—dressed exactly like Malja Grandma—takes the stage to share their stories, and Kim Kyung-ah is moved to tears as she listens.
The episode airs at 10 p.m. on the 16th.
