Actor So Ji-sub lends his voice to the film The Voice of Hind Rajab (directed by Kaouther Ben Hania), which opens in Korea on April 15.
Distributor The Contents On announced on the 17th that "The Voice of Hind Rajab will open nationwide on April 15," unveiling the main trailer narrated by So Ji-sub along with the first poster.
The film unfolds around the real audio of six-year-old Hind Rajab, who was trapped alone in a bombed car. Her recorded voice brings the life-or-death urgency of that moment vividly to the screen.
The Voice of Hind Rajab received the longest standing ovation in the festival’s history and won the Grand Jury Prize at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, and it was also nominated for Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards.
So Ji-sub’s narration amplifies anticipation, delivering the message: "A testimony only cinema can deliver—one you can’t stop, avoid, or look away from, forcing you to confront it head-on."
