Shocking first-look moments from actor Kim Hye-yoon, who is swapping her “rom-com queen” image for a “horror queen” transformation, have been revealed.

On March 17, distributor Showbox unveiled stills from the film Salmokji.

The newly released stills capture seven people thrown into chaos, cranking the tension to the max. On a boat shrouded in thick fog, Soo-in (played by Kim Hye-yoon) reels in shock while Ki-tae (Lee Jong-won) looks utterly devastated, making viewers wonder what they witnessed on the reservoir. Gyo-sik (Kim Jun-han), staring at something by the water’s edge, amplifies the eerie, deathly quiet mood of Salmokji.

Kyung-tae (Kim Young-seong), frozen in place with only a faint flashlight beam, also grabs attention and raises questions about why he stepped into the darkness of Salmokji. Unlike the others who are paralyzed with fear, Kyung-jun (Oh Dong-min) looks ready to explode, hinting at an unpredictable turn of events. Meanwhile, Sung-bin (Yoon Jae-chan), trembling inside a car, and Se-jeong (Jang Da-ah), with tears in her eyes, show the desperate struggle to escape Salmokji. What exactly is the terror that awaits them?

Meanwhile, Salmokji opens in theaters nationwide across Korea on April 8.
