Red Velvet’s Irene delivers an uplifting message with her versatile vocals on her first full-length album.
On the 17th, Irene dropped the second teaser images and a mood clip for her first studio album ‘Biggest Fan’ via Red Velvet’s official social media.
The album features 10 tracks spanning a range of vibes, including the title track of the same name. The title song ‘Biggest Fan’ is a pop dance track built on a lively groove, blending laid-back narration-rap with an addictive chant. It carries a heartfelt message about sharing a positive influence with fans, grounded in the precious values she’s come to realize.
The b-side ‘Face To Face’ is an R&B pop number with dreamy, grand synths and spacious sound design; its lyrics portray the process of acknowledging and accepting oneself as is, rather than trying to change who you are. ‘Million Miles Away’ is a pop dance track marked by a retro mood and colorful synths, standing out with lyrics that capture a sense of emotional freedom.
‘Black Halo’ is an R&B track where chilly keys, tense effects, and majestic gospel harmonies heighten immersion. Irene’s vocals glide between chest voice and falsetto to depict the moment one lets go of empty expectations and false hopes, driving the song like a thrilling narrative.
Irene’s first studio album ‘Biggest Fan’ will be released on major music platforms at 6 p.m. on March 30.
