Kim Seon-tae, a former Chungju City civil servant turned creator, opened up about an unexpected twist he faced while resigning.

The March 18 broadcast of MBC variety show Radio Star featured Boom, Moon Se-yoon, Nam Chang-hee, and Kim Seon-tae in a special titled 'Laughter Civil Servants.' Kim recently left public office and launched his own YouTube channel, signaling a fresh start.

On the show, Kim revealed that his resignation plan didn’t go as intended. He said, "I originally planned to reveal it slowly in two to three weeks, but the information leaked first," explaining that the news was leaked internally. He added, "I was sleeping in, but I had about 400 missed calls. I couldn’t even scroll the screen down," recalling the chaotic moment.

In the end, Kim had no choice but to rush out a resignation video. "I wanted to build a content flow and announce it step by step, but things got urgent, so I hurriedly uploaded the video around 12:30 p.m.," he said. As for the leak, he added, "I don’t know who it was, but rumors spread fast."

He also spoke about how his life has changed since leaving his job. Kim said he received offers from multiple agencies, but added, "For the time being, I don’t want to be tied to any label. I want to decide on my own and create content freely." In fact, he surpassed 1 million subscribers just two days after launching his personal channel, drawing explosive attention.
