Actor Yoo Hwan’s team has urged caution, warning that impersonator accounts on social media have been attempting to solicit money.
On the 20th, his agency Just Entertainment stated, "Recently, the number of accounts impersonating actor Yoo Hwan on TikTok has surged, and as related tips keep coming in, we are issuing an official statement to prevent harm," adding, "Neither our company nor our artist Yoo Hwan will ever ask fans for money or try to initiate private conversations under any circumstances."
They added, "Yoo Hwan has only one official TikTok account; every other TikTok account is an impersonation."
Recently, alongside his projects, Yoo Hwan has been connecting with global fans through TikTok Live and drawing intense international interest. Exploiting this popularity, numerous impersonation accounts have been created using his name and photos, approaching fans and causing confusion.
Yoo Hwan debuted in 2013 with the group SPEED and transitioned to acting in 2021. He is currently reviewing his next project while pursuing various activities, and he recently drew attention with his appearance in the drama No Tail to Tell.
