Actor Park Bo-young’s new series Gold Land is finally meeting viewers.

On the 26th, Disney+ announced that Gold Land will premiere on April 29, signaling the start of a bold new K-drama.

Gold Land centers on Hee-su (played by Park Bo-young), who gets her hands on gold bars worth 150 billion won from a smuggling ring. In a world riddled with greed and betrayal, she wages a brutal fight to keep the gold for herself, crafting a gleaming survival thriller about desire. Director Kim Sung-hoon’s tightly wrought direction pairs with writer Hwang Jo-yoon’s pulse-pounding script to elevate the show’s quality.

The cast also features Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Hee Won, Moon Jung Hee, and Lee Kwang Soo, each set to showcase distinctive, scene-stealing characters.

The newly released poster metaphorically captures the primal desires hidden within humanity. The tagline “A dazzling desire blooming in the dark” strikes a powerful contrast against a shadowy metallic backdrop and the gleam of gold bars. Tapping into today’s surge in gold prices and growing interest in assets, the series poses a piercing question: “If you suddenly stumbled upon massive wealth, how far would you change?”—a hook that’s sure to spark empathy and obsession among viewers.

Online reactions are already heating up, with comments like “A thriller stamped with Bbo-lovely’s charm?” and “Hyped beyond belief.”

Meanwhile, Gold Land will drop Episodes 1–2 on April 29, followed by two new episodes every week, for a total of 10 episodes.
