TVING original Yumi's Cells Season 3 premieres on April 13.
This season returns after three years to follow Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun) as an unexpected figure sparks new emotional changes. With Kim Go-eun back as "Yumi herself," rising star Kim Jae-won joins the cast alongside trusted director Lee Sang-yeob, while writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran reunite, building major anticipation.
Character stills released on the 26th reveal a more mature slice of Yumi's everyday life. Kim Go-eun beams with a bouquet in hand, exuding confidence as a writer, but Yumi's peaceful routine as a hit romance novelist doesn't last long. When her producing director (PD), Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae-won), shows up, her emotions begin to shift again. In a scene where he shields her with an umbrella, the way they gaze at each other teases fresh butterflies.
Regarding the new season, Kim Go-eun said, "As Yumi worked tirelessly to succeed as a writer, her life gradually became all about work, and that's where Season 3 begins," adding, "Now Yumi doesn't know what to do besides work, and even when she rests, she's unsure how to rest. Because of that, her Cells start waking up one by one, bringing her back to life." She also teased, "We've packed in even more humor than previous seasons, so please look forward to it."
Fans are hyped to see Kim Go-eun return, and excitement is soaring for Kim Jae-won as Soon-rok.
Meanwhile, Yumi's Cells Season 3 will drop two episodes early every Monday at 6 p.m. on TVING starting April 13, and will air on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.
