Actor Lee Seo-jin forcefully laid out his beliefs about attending weddings out of obligation and Korea’s “cash gift” custom.

On the 24th, appearing on a live broadcast on the YouTube channel Channel fullmoon, Lee listened to fans’ dilemmas and shared his own views on weddings. When a fan said, "A friend who hadn’t contacted me in seven years sent a digital wedding invitation—should I send a cash gift?", Lee responded, "If it were me, I wouldn’t go to the wedding, and I’d cut off contact with that friend," making his stance crystal clear.

He added, "A friend you haven’t spoken to suddenly sending a mobile wedding invitation? That makes no sense."

He continued, "If you haven’t met in seven years, the right thing to do is to meet in person to hand over an invitation, or at least say 'I’m getting married' face to face. I never send money if I don’t attend the wedding. Just wiring money without showing up is a bad custom," he explained.

Many people are backing Lee’s firm stance, with fans reacting, "That was so refreshing," and "Lee Seo-jin just set the standard."
