EXO member Kai is making a viral return to the web variety show Changing Majors Season 8.
The YouTube channel ootb’s flagship series Changing Majors, which tours universities nationwide to experience different majors, will drop its Season 8 premiere on the 26th. Following Lee Chang-sub, Kai steps in as the second “transfer student,” taking on a central role once again this season.
In the Season 8 premiere, Kai “transfers” to the Department of Business Secretarial Studies at Inha Technical College, setting up a subtle rivalry with Suho, who previously appeared as a proxy transfer student. Appearing in a sharp suit, Kai confidently says, "I’ll show a different energy than Suho."
The show also teases an unexpected twist. Kai reveals, "For the first time in 16 years since debut, I learned what my stage name Kai actually means," shocking everyone around him. In a secretarial practice class, he joins a role-play as the boss, delivering an immersive performance that sparks laughter.
During phone etiquette training, he precisely points out errors, earning praise from the professor. He then adds a candid take: "It’s not as easy as I thought. Reality is different," drawing empathy. In an AI-powered document-writing class, he even offers an idol’s perspective on content analysis and future vision, showcasing a different kind of charm.
On campus, he also shares a surprise moment with a freshman EXO fan. In a natural conversation, he radiates his signature friendly appeal, boosting the show’s entertainment value.
Meanwhile, the newly returned Changing Majors Season 8, timed with the start of the semester, will be released every Thursday at 6 p.m.
