AKMU’s Lee Su-hyun opened up about how she pushed through a slump — and exposed the extreme “training camp” her brother Lee Chan-hyuk put her through.

In the teaser released on the 26th for tvN’s variety show You Quiz on the Block, Lee Su-hyun appeared with Lee Chan-hyuk ahead of their fourth studio album, sharing what they’ve been up to. Host Yoo Jae-suk sparked curiosity, saying, "I heard Lee Chan-hyuk ran a kind of mind-reboot camp for his sister when she hit a slump."

Lee Su-hyun laughed, "Maybe it’s because my brother served in the Marine Corps, but he went way beyond anything I imagined." She explained, "We woke up early to work out, did self-development, then PT (physical training), and lights out by 10 p.m." She added, "It was so tough I honestly wanted to run away," sending the studio into laughter.

Lee Chan-hyuk admitted the project he designed to help his sister overcome her slump "wasn’t easy for me either." He added sincerely, "Thanks for trusting me and following along," but Lee Su-hyun playfully covered her ears and ducked her head, making everyone laugh. Watching them, Yoo Jae-suk joked, "I was worried he might even end it with 'I love you,'" flustering the siblings.

Earlier, Lee Su-hyun drew attention for her weight loss and personally shut down speculation that she used anti-obesity medication. She clarified, "I didn’t use any specific drugs — I changed through diet control and exercise," emphasizing steady self-care.

AKMU recently left YG Entertainment after more than 10 years, launched an independent label, and is ramping up preparations for a comeback, teasing their first full-length in seven years — their fourth studio album. Their episode of You Quiz on the Block is set to air on April 1 at 8:45 p.m.
