Japanese TV personality Sayuri Fujita sparked buzz after revealing she once dated a comedian.

On the March 30 episode of the web variety show Zzanbro, Sayuri and comedian Kim Kyung-wook appeared as guests, joining hosts Shin Dong-yup and Jung Ho-cheol for a wide-ranging chat.

Sayuri recalled advice she once received from comedian Paeng Hyun-sook. "Ten years ago, Paeng Hyun-sook told me, 'Marry a comedian.' She said she was incredibly happy and that a comedian husband is the best," Sayuri shared. "So I thought, 'Comedians make great husbands.'"

Hearing this, Kim Kyung-wook suddenly asked, "So that's why you dated a comedian, right?" bringing up Sayuri's dating past. He continued, "You wouldn't tell me who it was, so we decided to trade secrets. I made up a story, and that’s how I found out about your past relationship," he said, making everyone laugh.

Shin Dong-yup then joked, "I think I know who it is. The rumor must have spread. Was it Yoo Min-sang?" Sayuri replied, "It wasn't Yoo Min-sang. But yes, there was someone," sidestepping a direct name while acknowledging the romance itself.

When Kim Kyung-wook cautiously asked, "I didn’t mess up by saying that, did I?" Shin Dong-yup reacted, "So you’re admitting you did date," surprised by Sayuri’s candid attitude. Sayuri added that Kim Kyung-wook is the only person who knows the full story.

Meanwhile, in 2020, Sayuri made major headlines when she welcomed her son, Zen, via donor sperm as an unmarried mother.
