Comedian Yoo Jae-suk had viewers laughing as he opened up about his down-to-earth married life with his announcer-turned-wife, Na Kyung-eun.
On the March 31 broadcast of SBS variety show Whenever Possible, actors Park Hae-soo and Lee Hee-jun joined Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok to roam around Seoul’s Ssangmun-dong and share candid stories. The conversation naturally shifted to married life, and their real-talk moments struck a chord with many.
During the chat, Yoo Jae-suk drew attention when he said, "When I wake up in the morning, it would be nice if someone made me a cup of coffee." When Lee Hee-jun asked, "Doesn’t your wife do that for you?" Yoo replied, "She needs her sleep. She should rest well," showing his consideration for his wife. The cast burst into laughter, calling it a hilariously realistic glimpse into married life.
Park Hae-soo added to the relatability, admitting, "Because of the morning noise, I can’t use a hair dryer at home, so I go outside to dry my hair." Lee Hee-jun shared a similar experience: "If I have a shoot that day, my wife tells me to go back to sleep even if she wakes up."
They kept the momentum going with how their day-to-day routines changed after marriage. Lee Hee-jun confessed, "Once you’re married, it’s hard to find a good place to read scripts," revealing he sometimes reads in a trainer’s office at the gym. Park Hae-soo added with a laugh, "I stick the pages on the treadmill and read while walking."
They also compared travel styles. Spontaneous by nature, Lee Hee-jun said that in the end he follows his planner-type wife’s lead. Yoo Jae-suk nodded in agreement: "If you don’t, it won’t be a one-month trip — it’ll be a one-month fight."
As for the lines they hear most from their wives, Lee Hee-jun chose "Wait a sec," while Park Hae-soo picked "I know!" — offering another dose of married-life realness.
Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk married Na Kyung-eun in 2008, and they have one son and one daughter. Lee Hee-jun wed former basketball player Lee Hye-jung in 2016, and Park Hae-soo married a non-celebrity partner in 2019.
