BARO Entertainment, home to actors Byeon Woo Seok and Lee Chae Min, has launched a strong legal crackdown.

On April 2, the agency announced, "We have confirmed ongoing illegal acts targeting our artists on online platforms and social media, including malicious slander, the spread of false information leading to defamation, insults, sexual harassment, and personal attacks."

They continued, "Through fans’ reports and our own monitoring, we are continuously securing evidence against the authors of malicious posts and comments that infringe on our artists’ honor and rights, and we are pursuing legal action with Yulchon LLC."

The agency added, "Investigative authorities have initiated identification procedures for post and comment authors across major online communities and social media platforms, including DC Inside, Women’s Generation, Nate Pann, and Ruliweb. Some suspects have been identified, and the cases have been transferred to the investigative bodies with jurisdiction over the suspects’ addresses. Follow-up investigations—such as fact-checking and formal questioning—are now underway in sequence."

They also warned that discussing unverified information or spreading speculative claims about an active investigation could trigger additional legal disputes, adding, "At this time, disclosing specific details—such as the progress of the investigation and information about the accused—is difficult as it may interfere with the investigation."

Fans are applauding the firm stance. Byeon Woo Seok is set to premiere the new MBC drama Perfect Crown next week. Online reactions include, "Even the label is working overtime" and "Cutting it all off before the drama airs."
