On April 3, singer Ori revealed a belated good-deed story about Seo In-young — who recently made a splashy return on YouTube — thanking her for quietly stepping in after Ori’s botched 2009 debut on KBS2’s Music Bank. The revelation is going viral 17 years later for its heartwarming twist.

Ori posted on her social media to express gratitude toward Seo In-young. "There’s an unnie who just started YouTube. She was the MC on my debut stage," she began, recalling the moments right after her debut. After the broadcast, the staff scolded her harshly, and Seo In-young was there too. "Because of her tough image, I thought she’d scold me as well, but she didn’t say a word — instead, she eased the tension," Ori said. "Thinking back now, I’m really grateful to her."

She added a sincere message: "Back then, all I could say was that I was sorry. If this reaches her, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart."

Ori left an unfortunate mistake on her 2009 KBS2 Music Bank debut stage due to nerves and was later labeled a "tragic singer." Now, nearly 17 years later, it has come to light that MC Seo In-young looked out for her behind the scenes — a touching detail warming fans’ hearts.

Meanwhile, Seo In-young has recently launched the YouTube channel Gaegwacheonseon Seo In-young and resumed activities.
