Ballad legend Shin Seung-hun stunned viewers on SBS variety show My Little Old Boy with his unbelievably youthful visuals and razor-sharp wit.

On the April 5 episode of 'My Little Old Boy,' the "Emperor of Ballads" appeared as a special guest and shared a slew of behind-the-scenes stories. Kicking things off with a live performance, Shin drew gasps for his still-flawless vocals. Cast members joked that even his "vocal cords must have been frozen," praising his rock-steady condition.

His long-running hairstyle also became a hot topic. Shin admitted, "My hair has been almost the same throughout my career," but revealed he once tried switching it up. "I did a wind-swept style for my 8th album, and fans said I'd 'lost my roots,' so I went back," he laughed. Addressing lingering wig rumors, he set the record straight: "It's not a wig. If you look closely, each strand is a little different," shutting down the speculation himself.

The MCs kept the playful questions coming. When Shin Dong-yup asked, "Do you take your wig off before bed?" Shin casually ran his hand through his hair and quipped, "Did it move?" sending the studio into laughter. As for his 'frozen man' nickname, he deadpanned, "I do like frozen foods," showing off his effortless variety-show charm.

The broadcast also revealed that the 'My Little Old Boy' team had been persistently courting him. Shin surprised everyone by saying, "I got nine casting requests," and the MCs welcomed him as a "truly rare, unfiltered 'MLob' guest."

Since he's unmarried, talk of marriage naturally came up. Shin confessed, "During the holidays, I sometimes book work on purpose to dodge nagging," opening up about a real-life dilemma. He added, "When my mom goes, 'Sooon—' and lifts her tone, that's code for a marriage talk," noting he smoothly changes the subject when that happens—drawing nods of empathy.

Born in 1966 and now 59, Shin Seung-hun debuted in 1990 with his first album 'You in My Smile.' With unwavering music and a steady image ever since, he once again brought both laughter and warmth to living rooms with his timeless appeal.
