Back after four years, KBS Documentary 3 Days is returning to viewers with a fresh lineup of narrators.
On the 6th, a press conference for Documentary 3 Days was held at KBS headquarters in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. PD Na-eun Cho, PD I-baek Lee, and VJ Ji-won Lee attended to announce the program's relaunch. First aired in 2007, Documentary 3 Days closely chronicled 72 hours in the lives of ordinary people and was much loved, but it ended in 2022 due to the impact of COVID-19.
According to the production team, the new season will have 24 episodes in total. The premiere spotlights the lives of diverse riders aboard Bus 273, which shuttles through Seoul's university district. For the show's signature narration, singer Yoo Yeol opens the season with his warm, familiar voice.
The second episode centers on the Navy, with actor and former military band member Park Bo-gum stepping in as narrator. The third episode covers the Yeongnam wildfires, with anchor Seung-hwa Kang lending her voice. The team explained, "Our standard is to recruit the narrator who best fits each topic."
The heart of the program is authenticity drawn from real life. PD Na-eun Cho emphasized, "Real life has far more power than a staged story," adding, "This season, we're focused on preserving that originality." She continued, "The lives of ordinary people felt like a universe of their own," sharing how deeply moved she was during production.
Returning to the public once more, Documentary 3 Days airs today at 8:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, Park Bo-gum enlisted in 2020 in the Navy's Military Band and Honor Guard Battalion as part of the Navy PR unit and was discharged in 2022.
