On the 8th, his agency announced that Sung Joon will appear in MBC’s new Fri-Sat series Perfect Crown.
Perfect Crown is a romance set in a 21st-century Korea under a constitutional monarchy, portraying a fated love that transcends social class. Sung Joon plays Lee Hwan, the older brother of Grand Prince Ian (played by Byeon Woo Seok). Born a sensitive, fun-loving libertine, Lee Hwan nevertheless ascends the throne under the principle of primogeniture.
Sung Joon has showcased impressive range across diverse projects. In 2024, in SBS’s The Fiery Priest 2, he portrayed drug cartel boss Kim Hong-sik, exuding ruthless charisma. He also appeared in the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated? as Na Jin-seok, the older brother of Joo Ho-jin (played by Kim Seon Ho), delivering a free-spirited performance.
