Actor Jo Hye-jung returns to the small screen after three years — through Kim Go-eun’s lead drama Yumi’s Cells 3.
Set to premiere on the 13th, the series is a romance that captures laugh-out-loud and heart-fluttering moments sparked by the unexpected arrival of Sun-rok (played by Kim Jae-won) in the daily life of star writer Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun). With Kim Jae-won joining Kim Go-eun, anticipation is high for the dazzling reunion of director Lee Sang-yeob and writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran.
Character stills released on the 8th ahead of the first broadcast feature Jeon Suk-ho, Choi Daniel, Jo Hye-jung, Miram, and Park Se-in. Jeon Suk-ho reprises his role as editor-in-chief Dae-yong, who drew out Yumi’s potential in previous seasons. New cast member Choi Daniel plays Ju-ho, a character not found in the original. Jo Hye-jung takes on Na-hee, Yumi’s assistant writer with bubbly charm, set to inject fresh energy into the story.
In particular, Jo Hye-jung’s stills are grabbing drama fans’ attention. She appears noticeably slimmer, suggesting a successful weight loss journey.
Jo Hye-jung halted activities in 2018 following her father Jo Jae-hyun’s controversy, but she is attempting a comeback this year.
Meanwhile, Yumi’s Cells 3 will be pre-released every Monday on TVING and will air on tvN on Mondays and Tuesdays.
