Actor Kim Jae-won—whose visuals match Kim Go-eun's so perfectly that their 10-year age gap practically disappears—has been chosen as Kim Go-eun's final love interest.
On the 7th, a press conference was held for the TVING original series Yumi's Cells Season 3 (hereafter 'Yumi's Cells 3'). Director Lee Sang-yeob and leads Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won attended, sharing a range of behind-the-scenes stories.
At the event, Kim Jae-won said, "My biggest weapon is the incredibly lovable Go-eun noona," reflecting on the shoot. The two previously worked together on You and Everything Else, but they had no direct scenes then, which left fans wanting more. Kim added, "From the start, she treated me so well that I could relax on set, and I learned a lot through this project."
This season's overarching keyword is the "return of emotions." After putting romance on hold last season, Yumi begins to rediscover those long-forgotten butterflies through her meeting with Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae-won).
'Yumi's Cells 3' will pre-release two episodes exclusively on TVING every Monday at 6 p.m. starting on the 13th, and will air one episode on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.
