Travel YouTuber and TV personality Kwak Tube (real name Kwak Jun-bin), who boasts 2.15 million subscribers, is making a bold move into acting and expanding his career.
On the 7th, a representative for the Genie TV original series Sinbyeong 4: Sabotage (hereafter 'Sinbyeong 4') told multiple outlets, "Kwak Tube will appear in 'Sinbyeong 4'."
Kwak Tube will play a unit cook, a role expected to inject fresh energy into the series. He previously tested the waters with the six-episode web drama Jjinttarok: Ingan Kwak Jun-bin, released in March 2023, but this new project marks a longer-form drama challenge that has many viewers excited.
'Sinbyeong 4' is the fourth season of a drama based on the hit animated series of the same name. This season follows Park Min-seok (played by Kim Min-ho) as he gets promoted to corporal and dives into a whirlwind of worries during the latter half of his barracks life. Just when he thought life would get easier after making corporal, a mysterious new recruit and the battalion commander shake things up, kicking off a turbulent second act.
Joining this season for the first time, Kwak Tube, along with actors Lee Hyun-gyun and Lee Won-jung, will spark fantastic chemistry with the existing cast and breathe new life into the story.
Meanwhile, 'Sinbyeong 4'—which made headlines with the casting of Kwak Tube—is slated to air in the second half of this year on Genie TV and ENA.
