Actress Kang Han-na is dominating headlines with back-to-back project announcements.

According to a JoyNews24 report on the 7th, Kang Han-na will star in director Hur Jin-ho’s new drama Goraebyeol.

As reported, Kang will play Han Yeon-kyung, a cool-headed, decisive heiress from Gunsan’s wealthiest family and a member of the secret group 'Goraebyeol.' After losing her husband to torture by the Japanese colonial authorities, she throws herself into Korea’s independence movement like a phoenix — a multidimensional character already generating buzz.

Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, Goraebyeol is a 12-episode Gyeongseong romance inspired by the 'Little Mermaid' myth. Set during the Japanese occupation, it follows Kang Ui-hyeon, a man who devotes everything to his country, and Heo Su-a, a woman who risks her life to protect him. With Choi Woo-shik, Moon Ga-young, Heo Nam-jun, and Gong Seung-yeon already attached, Kang Han-na’s casting cements a powerhouse golden lineup.

Just last month, Kang confirmed her casting in the film High School Detective, and now with Goraebyeol on deck, she’s continuing an unstoppable nonstop hustle.

Meanwhile, Goraebyeol is slated to begin filming later this month.
