Actor Ju Ji-hoon spoke candidly about the same-sex storyline in his latest drama.

On April 7, Ju Ji-hoon participated in interviews discussing the ENA Monday–Tuesday drama ‘Climax.’ The series follows prosecutor Bang Tae-seop as he becomes entangled in a power-driven network, exploring themes across politics, business, and the entertainment industry.

The inclusion of a same-sex narrative within his character’s arc drew particular attention from viewers. Addressing this, Ju Ji-hoon said, “I believe it’s a story that actually exists,” adding that diverse forms of relationships are part of reality. He emphasized that the drama does not attempt to hide these aspects and that he approached the role naturally as an actor.

He also spoke about his character, explaining that Bang Tae-seop is aware of certain aspects of his wife Chu Sang-ah but chooses to overlook them in pursuit of his own goals.

Ju Ji-hoon added that the latter half of the series will offer a more satisfying development, encouraging viewers to keep an open mind.

Meanwhile, ‘Climax’ airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on ENA and is also available on Disney+.
