Comedy YouTuber Eom Eun-hyang has sparked buzz after teasing a guest appearance by star writer Im Sung-han, known for penning Miss Mermaid, Heaven's Fate, Dear Heaven, and Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce).

On the 8th, the TV Chosun drama Doctor Shin told multiple outlets they are "verifying the facts" about Im Sung-han appearing on Eom Eun-hyang's YouTube, while adding, "It is not a meeting arranged by the production team." If their meeting happens, it likely stems from Im Sung-han's own decision rather than the network or drama staff.

On the 7th, Eom Eun-hyang said via her Instagram Story, "I was contacted directly by writer Im Sung-han," and teased a livestream celebrating 1 million subscribers. She added, "The first live guest is writer Im Sung-han," emphasizing, "This is real, not a joke." Eom has gained traction with comedy content, including skits about 'Im Sung-han drama cliches.'

Debuting in 1990, Im has been recognized for a singular writing style through memorable works such as Miss Mermaid and Dear Heaven, while maintaining a reclusive profile with almost no external activities or interviews. After briefly declaring a hiatus, she returned under the pen name Phoebe to continue writing.

Most recently, Im launched the TV Chosun drama Doctor Shin. The medical thriller has drawn attention for its unusual 'brain change' premise, but ratings have hovered in the 1% range. Against this backdrop, all eyes are on whether Im will really appear on YouTube — and what revelations she might drop.
