Model-turned-entertainer Joo Woo-jae shocked viewers by revealing how he unexpectedly broke down in tears at his older brother's wedding.
On the April 9 broadcast of MBC variety show Where is My Home, the cast hit a wedding-season 'studio+dress+makeup' road tour, as Heo Young-ji, Lee Mi-joo, and Yang Se-chan explored Seoul's wedding hotspots and traded stories.
The talk naturally turned to wedding-day moments. Heo Young-ji recalled her older sister's ceremony last year, saying, "I cried so much the day before that my eyes were completely swollen when I arrived at the venue." Kim Sook noted, "Crying at a sister's wedding is common, but it's rare to cry at a brother's wedding," drawing attention to Joo Woo-jae.
Reflecting on his own experience, Joo Woo-jae admitted, "I didn't see it coming at all." He had gone on stage to sing the congratulatory song, but he confessed that as soon as he sang the first line, a wave of emotion hit him. "The moment I started singing, the tears burst out, and I couldn't finish the song properly," he recalled.
The footage aired on the show captured Joo Woo-jae unable to continue singing as he broke into tears, eventually sobbing as he lost control of his emotions. He added, "It was a moment that’s hard to explain. The feelings just surged up out of nowhere."
